LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A traffic alert for drivers who use the Kennedy Bridge to cross into Louisville from southern Indiana: The bridge on Interstate 65 South is scheduled to close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The detour takes drivers headed south in Indiana to Interstate 265 and Interstate 64 East to reconnect with I-65 South.

Crews will work on the ongoing bridge joint replacement project. Up to seven additional overnight closures on the bridge are expected.
