The Tulare County Sheriff's Office Blanket Drive is now underway. The drive was inspired two years ago when a 12-year-old child picked a blanket over a toy at the TCSO PAL Christmas Party because warmth was more important than fun.
To address that need to stay warm at home, TCSO a blanket drive last year and were able to collect enough blankets and quilts for each child to choose a blanket at the holiday party.
TCSO stated this year's blanket drive is off to a slow start. The Tulare County Sheriff’s PAL Program needs new blankets for boys and girls, ages 8-12.
Local dropoff collection sites are the TCSO Porterville substation, 1839 S. Newcomb south of Portervlle and the South County Justice Center, 300 E. Olive, Porterville
