TRENTON, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Investigators returned Thursday to the site of a house explosion on Airport Road as two victims continue their recovery from the blast that occurred Wednesday.

The ATF, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office are working to determine what caused the explosion that left only a charred foundation where a home once stood.

The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office said both victims are expected to make a full recovery. One victim survived because a neighbor pulled him from the flames and carried him away on his back.
