ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - It’s been one year since Freddy’s opened its doors in Alexandria, and the restaurant has quickly become a local favorite.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers first opened on MacArthur Drive in 2024, bringing a new place for families, students and workers to grab a meal. In just 12 months, the restaurant has served thousands across Central Louisiana, and the owners said the response has been amazing.

“We’re just happy to be part of the community’s rhythm for a full year,” said District Manager Cameron Cherry. “It’s a gathering spot for friends and family, it’s a way to connect. We want people to feel valued, we want them to leave full, we want them to leave happy, serving a steak burger with one smile at a time.”
