YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- The United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley has a great relationship with its partners. The organization has been hearing about an immediate need since SNAP benefits weren't paid for November.

Next week, you can help with its response.

A group of volunteers at United Way was packing supplies Friday for regular distribution to assist 29 care closets that help school pantries. Recently, the schools reached out with another request.

"A lot of those school districts are calling us, asking for help for their students that do rely on SNAP," said Roxann Sebest, vice president of United Way.

A donor stepped up and provided funding to help. The United Way will begin packing rapid response meal kits. They include shelf-stable food, enough to feed a family of four
