COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) — Nearly one in every 10 crimes in South Carolina last year were committed by a teenager or child, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.
The agency says about 25,000 juveniles found themselves in the criminal justice system last year.
A new House committee is taking a closer look at how to prevent juvenile crime in South Carolina and getting to work quickly.
