SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - A local woman said what she saw inside Memorial Health earlier this month left her deeply concerned about hospital overcrowding.

Christina Bryan-Parker said she took her husband to the emergency room after he experienced heart issues. She said what she saw inside was alarming with patients lining the hallways and staff struggling to move around.

“They rushed us back quickly. As we walked through, I had a lot of shock because all of the rooms were full and patients were in every place you could imagine in the halls,” Bryan-Parker said. “They were having a hard time maneuvering other patients through the halls because there were so many.”

Bryan-Parker said the overcrowding reminded her of the pandemic something she hoped she would never see again.
