Six-vehicle crash causes major delays on Crowchild Trail SW

Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon that disrupted traffic on one of Calgary’s busiest roadways.

The collision happened around 3:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Crowchild Trail at 50 Avenue SW.

According to Calgary Police, six vehicles were involved in the crash. While no major injuries were reported, one individual was transported to hospital as a precaution.

Police remain on scene managing the aftermath and clearing the roadway.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect significant delays as cleanup efforts continue.
