LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - U.S. Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers, Dean of the House, has filed for re-election for Kentucky’s Fifth Congressional District.

Rogers is currently serving his 23rd term. Rogers was first elected to represent Kentucky’s fifth congressional district in 1980.

As the longest continuously serving member of the House of Representatives, Rogers became Dean of the House in 2022.

If he wins reelection, he would be 89 years old at the start of his 24th term.
