A suspect is in custody after a fight on a King County Metro bus led to a shooting Friday around 10:30 a.m.

Two people got into a fight aboard the bus and then brought the fight to the sidewalk next to the bus, according to KIRO 7 , citing Greg Woodfill, the president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 587.

One person then allegedly shot the other person in the 800 block of Rainier Avenue South, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported via X .
