PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has sent a letter to the Pensacola City Council over a drag show taking place at the Saenger Theatre two days before Christmas.
According to Uthmeier, "A Drag Queen Christmas" makes fun of a holiday that is sacred to Christians.
"It has been referred to as part of the 'Naughty Tour,' where men masquerading as women claim to put the 'Ho Ho Ho Into The Holidays'," read the letter.
The letter cites the contract between the city and the management company, Legends Global, stating that the city has the right to cancel the event for a variety of reasons.
However, city officials said they did not see the event as a risk to the public.
