Walmart touts cheaper per-person Thanksgiving meal for 2025 with switch to more store brands

Walmart Inc.'s Thanksgiving meal basket this year costs about $4 per person -- the lowest price since the company started the annual tradition in 2022. But what Walmart is calling its "most affordable holiday meal yet" contains fewer items than in previous years, such as 2024's $7-per-person Thanksgiving meal, and more private-label brands than name brands.
