The air quality in Delhi-NCR has plunged into the 'very poor' category as the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) is at 319. The air quality in Mumbai is also in the 'poor' category, as a layer of smog lingers.
The AQI near Akshardham and Anand Vihar is 329, and air quality is in the 'very poor' category, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said. A layer of toxic smog blankets Delhi and NCR in the morning.
The AQI around the Dhaula Kuan area is 266, Lodhi Road, AIIMS, and Safdarjung Hospital areas is 222.
The AQI around the Kartavya Path is 297, categorised as 'Poor', the CPCB said.
