A Saturday chili-cookoff in Niles plans to raise money for families in need ahead of the holiday season.

Steel Hammerz Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC), the Niles chapter organization of active and retired law enforcement officers, will hold its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Nov 8, at 12 p.m. at the Sons of Italy Hall in Niles.

The LEMC event is a community fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward providing Thanksgiving dinners for local families who may not otherwise be able to afford a holiday meal, the club stated in a news release.

Last year, the organization provided 12 full Thanksgiving dinners to local families after raising money from the community.

The Sons of Italy Hall is located at 28 E Park Avenue in Niles.
