In a post on Instagram, Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Alex Vesia addressed his absence from the World Series stage and revealed the personal matter that he had been dealing with.
According to Vesia, on Oct. 26, his daughter, Sterling Sol, died.

Vesia had been away from the team due to a "deeply personal family matter," missing the World Series despite being a key reliever for the team and pitching throughout the NLCS.
