RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A local Raleigh nonprofit is stepping up to provide food to those who need it. Raleigh Dream Center is offering free food distributions three times a week to ensure families make ends meet as we get closer to the holiday season.
"As the holiday season is approaching, I'm glad that we're able to depend on that community with the resources and the help that we are receiving with this,” said Sadarea Anderson, a food recipient.
Anderson said this is the first time she has had to rely on a free food distribution service. She said things have been difficult without her SNAP benefits, which help provide for her and her 10-year-old son.
