A man was shot in the chest following an altercation on a Seattle bus Friday, police say.
The two men had gotten into an “altercation” on a King County Metro bus before they stepped off in the 800 block of Rainier Avenue South around 10 a.m., Seattle police spokesperson Eric Muñoz said. Within a minute or less, one man pulled out a gun and shot the other once in the chest, leaving him in critical condition.
The suspected shooter, a 34-year-old man, was about 8 feet away from the bus, Muñoz said, while the other man was about 3 feet away.
It is unknown how many people were aboard the bus at the time, if the men knew each other, or if the driver had asked the two to leave, Muñoz said.
The man suffered critical injuries to his internal organs and was taken to the hospital for surgery, Muñ
