TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A driver led law enforcement in Tulare County on a pursuit that reached over 100 mph, the California Highway Patrol said Friday.
Officers with the Visalia Police Department had calls about a reckless driver. CHP said those calls then turned into a pursuit, which reached speeds over 100 mph.
CHP Visalia took over the pursuit and followed the driver onto the northbound Highway 99.
Officers said that a tire spike was deployed, which caused the driver to slow and exit into Kingsburg at the Chevron east on Highway 99.
CHP said the driver was taken into custody for DUI.
