The Perth Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the life and legacy of Noongar elder Richard Walley with an intimate chamber music performance at WA Museum Boola Bardip.
The performance will be held beneath Otto the Blue Whale on September 5 and 6, offering audiences a personal journey through the life of one of WA’s most respected cultural icons.
The performance will feature Walley sharing his story “in his own words, on his own terms”, alongside his children and friend Iain Grandage.
The narrative will trace Walley’s path from a ‘bush hard’ childhood in Pinjarra to international acclaim as a performer and cultural leader.
PSO director Fiona Campbell said Walley was a State living treasure for a good reason.
