BEAUMONT, Texas — A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder following a shooting Friday night that left a 33-year-old man dead at a Broadway Street apartment complex.

Beaumont police officers responded to the 2300 block of Broadway St at about 7:15 p.m. Friday night after reports of a shooting, according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.

When they arrived, officers found Clarence Rosamore, 33, suffering from injuries at the scene. Rosamore was taken by ambulance to a Southeast Texas hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Officers detained Eleazar Stansbury, 26, at the apartment complex. After detectives interviewed Stansbury, he was taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility and booked on a murder charge.
