The partner of Claire Austin, who has been charged with the Sydney woman’s murder, has been accused of a course of “abusive behaviour” that would have caused her to fear violence, according to court documents.

Ms Austin’s partner, Lee Robert Loughlin, has been charged with the murder of the 38-year-old English national and marketing executive in Sydney’s eastern suburbs earlier this year.

Emergency services were called to her Randwick St, Randwick unit shortly after 7.30am on April 12 and Ms Austin was found with a severe arm laceration.

NSW Police said she was injured after attempting to force her way through a glass sliding door.

She was treated by paramedics and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition, however she died three days later.
