An arrest has been made in the April 2024 shooting death of a Homeland man, according to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department.

The victim, Christopher Yeamons, 33, was found with gunshot wounds on 32000 block of Falcon View Lane in Homeland, just after 9 a.m. on April 3, 2024. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition, but his condition deteriorated and he died on April 25, 2024, the sheriff’s department said.

Investigators identified 48-year-old Carlos Gonzalez, of Homeland, as a person of interest, but were unable to locate him until Wednesday, Nov. 5, when he was arrested on an unrelated, outstanding felony warrant. On Friday, he was arrested on suspicion of murder. Sheriff’s investigators believe he is the only suspect.
