Whitmer got revenge on its Northern Lakes League rival that knocked it out of the postseason two years ago.

The Panthers (9-2) won a defensive slugfest, 17-3, turning the ball over four times. Running back Jamon Holmes, however, had two second-half touchdowns to ultimately put the game out of reach.

Down 3-0 in the second quarter, Perrysburg quarterback Brady Maxwell threw an interception to defensive back Chris Simmons in the end zone on second down and goal and the Yellow Jackets (9-3) couldn't find a rhythm offensively after that.
