Just months after the debut of the girl group Hearts2Hearts, SM Entertainment , a South Korean entertainment agency, has announced a new girl group. On Thursday, November 6, the Japanese subsidiary of the agency announced the eight-member girl group, named GPP, through social media. SM Entertainment Japan officially shared links to the official website of the group and other social media pages.

According to the official website, the name GPP carries a strong meaning, where G stands for Genkai Toppa, a Japanese phrase meaning “breaking limits", while PP stands for Paper Plane. Together, the girl group’s name reflects their message of rising beyond limits and taking Japanese pop music to the global stage. GPP is set to make its debut on December 16 with the releas
