COLUMBUS — Bowling Green State University’s women’s soccer team came up just short of its ultimate goal after making quite a run in the Mid-American Conference tournament.
The No. 6 seed Falcons went toe-to-toe with defending MAC tournament champion and No. 1 seed Western Michigan in Friday’s title match, but a Broncos goal with 30 minutes left was enough to give them a 1-0 victory over BGSU at Historic Crew Stadium.
“The feeling right now is kind of sucking, but I couldn’t be more proud of my team. We worked as hard as we could to get here,” BGSU junior defender Taylor Green said. “It wasn’t an easy run.
