Are Banks Closed Today? Banks across India will observe public holiday today, November 08, due to the second Saturday under the RBI holiday calendar. This holiday is nationwide, leading to the closure of all bank branches across India.

Today also marks the birth anniversary of Sri Kanakadasa, who was a 16th-century poet, philosopher, and saint from Karnataka. As per RBI’s holiday list, a public holiday has been marked for banks in Karnataka for this occasion. However, the holiday falls on the second Saturday, so there is no benefit to it.
