Saratoga Springs football starts fast, survives late, in Section 2 Class AA semifinal win over Shenendehowa

CLIFTON PARK — For the first time since 2018, Saratoga Springs football is headed for the Section 2 Super Bowl.

On Friday night, third-seeded Saratoga Springs football staved off a late comeback from second-seeded Shenendehowa for a 26-21 win at Brent Steuerwald Stadium in the Section 2 Class AA semifinals. This was Saratoga Springs' first victory over Shenendehowa in its last seven tries, and it moves the Blue Streaks one win away from their program's first sectional title since 2015.
