A crash involving a landscaping truck on Interstate 90 in West County caused quite a mess and damaged several cars.

Friday night, just after 6:45 p.m., a multi-car accident in Fairview Township shut down a portion of I-90 eastbound for over an hour.

According to state police, on scene, a truck hauling landscape rocks lost control, dumping its cargo on the freeway and causing flat tires for 5 vehicles that then lost control.

Emergency crews rerouted all eastbound traffic onto the Avonia Road exit while the hazards were cleared and the multiple vehicles were towed.

No injuries were reported on scene, and responders included State Police, A.F. Dobler Hose and Ladder, Lake Shore and Fairview Fire and Rescue.

The scene was cleared just before 7:50 p.m.
