Security forces on Saturday foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, killing two terrorists during a joint operation.
According to the Army’s White Chinar Corps, the counter-infiltration mission, codenamed “Operation Pimple,” was launched on November 7 after receiving specific intelligence inputs about suspected movement in the area.
“Two terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing operation. Search of the area is in progress,” the Chinar Corps said in a post on X. It added that alert troops had spotted suspicious activity near the LoC and challenged the infiltrators, prompting them to open fire.
