GRAND FORKS — As UND football tries to pull an upset win over rival NDSU on Saturday, Nov. 8, they’ll take a moment to honor one of the greatest of all time.
The school will give Jim Kleinsasser a special Hall of Fame plaque ahead of his induction next month into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Life has a much different speed these days for Kleinsasser.
“Just being dad, you know, coaching sports, youth sports in my area, so coaching my boys up through their sports,” Kleinsasser said.
The Carrington, N.D., native, who became a star at UND, then spent 13 seasons playing for the Minnesota Vikings, found out in a January phone call from a friend that he’d been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
