There are only a few things for certain in life. Death, taxes and the Charleston Southern men’s basketball team pounding on Toccoa Falls in an early season game.

After losing their opener to Virginia Tech on Nov. 3 , the Buccaneers opened the home portion of their schedule on Nov. 6 with a predictably easy 106-71 win.

The game gave CSU coach Saah Nimley a chance to empty his bench and catch a glimpse of what he has in terms of depth. Nimley has nearly a dozen new faces on the roster this season.

“It’s hard to win basketball games, regardless of the opponent, so I am grateful for the win tonight,” Nimley said. “We didn’t play well early, the first 10 or 12 minutes, but we responded. Overall, happy with our team. We had great ball movement. These guys are so unselfish.”
