BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC) -Hundreds of union employees who work at the Burlington CASE New Holland plant gathered Friday afternoon at the Port of Burlington, rallying to save their community from CASE New Holland’s plan to close.
The rally comes after the company finalized closure plans on Tuesday . Union leaders like Brian Campbell say it’s a selfish move geared towards bigger profits
“They’re trying to close this plant to pad their own damn pockets and destroy the working-class people who would dare to simply demand their fair share. They’re doing it because of corporate greed, evil corporate greed,” Brandon Campbell, Director of United Auto Workers (UAW) Region 4 said.
The plant has been an icon in Burlington for more than 100 years, but now with closure on the horizon, it’s leaving
