OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha's Simon Latkoczy entered the weekend as one of the nation's hottest goaltenders.
But right now, nobody is slowing down Ben Strinden.
Strinden tallied the first two-goal game of his college career, racked up three more points and helped UND beat Omaha 7-2 in the series opener at Baxter Arena.
Dylan James and Will Zellers also had two-goal games, while Mac Swanson added a goal and three points. Defenseman Jake Livanavage had three assists and forwards Cole Reschny and Cody Croal tallied two assists.
Strinden, a senior, has seven points in the last two games and eight points in the last three.
