A Coventry pub is celebrating its one year anniversary after its landlord cashed in his pensions to bring a '80s throwback community pub' back to the city centre. The Stag and Hen, previously just the Stag, or the Old Stag, on Bishop Street, has been a part of Coventry's pub scene for over 200 years.
But the spot has struggled in recent decades, with several new landlords down the years attempting to revive it. Enter Paul Curtis, a proud Coventrian who saw the pub's potential and went all out to return it to its former glory.
