LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
On Friday, the Louisville community came together for a prayer vigil at Waterfront Park to honor the victims of Tuesday's deadly UPS plane crash.
The event was organized by Christ Culture Church.
The vigil offered the public a place to hear words of encouragement as the community continues to grieve.
"I think we kind of take for granted, living in Louisville, and just seeing those planes just fly by every single day, or being on the interstate, being on water and watching it fly right over you. and really never thinking twice about it. But, to watch it happen was absolutely devastating," said Karina McCracken, of Christ Culture Church. "For me, it's really important to be able to just pray for people that can help in any other way right now."
