Prosecutors Say Libby Adame’s Unlicensed Cosmetic Procedure Caused the Death of Cindyanne Santangelo

Riverside County resident Libby Adame was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years to life in prison for performing an illegal cosmetic procedure that caused the death of actress Cindyanne Santangelo.

The 53-year-old was convicted last month of second-degree murder and practicing medicine without a license after prosecutors said she injected silicone oil into Santangelo’s buttocks at the victim’s home, leading to a fatal silicone embolism. Santangelo, who had appeared on Married… With Children, ER, and in Young MC’s Bust a Move music video, went into respiratory distress shortly after the procedure.
