Carlton forward Mia Austin has paid tribute to her late cousin Ben with an emotional celebration after kicking a goal in the Blues’ big win over West Coast on Saturday.

The Blues comfortably accounted for the Eagles to advance to the semi-finals, but the game might be remembered most for Austin’s goal on the three-quarter time siren.

Austin took a strong mark and kicked truly before she was mobbed by every teammate.

Emotions immediately spilled over as Austin could be seen shedding a tear for her cousin Ben.

Ben, 17, tragically died last week after being struck by a cricket ball while warming up for a T20 clash.
