Nuneaton and Bedworth's most heart-breaking Christmas appeal is now underway - and it needs your help. Hundreds of presents are needed for children who face having no gifts this festive season.

Every year the Salvation Army in Nuneaton hosts a Christmas Present Appeal to support families who will struggle to make ends meet over the festive season. Last year, the appeal saw 750 children given gifts and the Salvation Army church leader Major David Stephenson has warned they could need even more this year.

He has appealed to the borough's famed generosity for support for this year's appeal, which will officially run until Friday, December 12. "Helping a parent provide a gift for their child is more than just financial support, it brings the joy of Christmas into their homes," he said.
