This year’s Diwali box office wasn’t as great as last year in Telugu states, but audiences still had a bunch of new films to pick from. Nearly half a dozen releases, including a few dubbed ones, hit theaters during the festive weekend. Most of them completed their theatrical runs and are now ready for digital premieres. Mithra Mandali – Prime Video

The first Diwali release to arrive in theaters was Mithra Mandali, a comedy drama that couldn’t make the most of the festival window. The film ended up being a disappointment for both the trade and audience. After a short run of three weeks, it started streaming on Prime Video from November 6 with a recut version.
