EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) - Many times in sports you will hear the phrase "it's not about how you start; it's about how you finish."
Last second losses, key injuries and inconsistency are just a few marks for why you'd be hard pressed to find a team that embodies that phrase more than the Mater Dei Wildcats and their quarterback Tate Mallory.
During the wildcats tightly contested week five match up against Jasper, Mallory sustained a heavy blow to his non-throwing shoulder, knocking him out of the game late in the second half.
What felt like just another stinger to Mallory, turned out to be a broken collarbone for the SIAC Player of the Year candidate, effectively ending his senior season.
