RICHFIELD, Ohio — Rocky River survived a late surge from Revere to secure a 23-14 victory in the Division III, Region 10 regional quarterfinal, advancing to face top-seeded Buckeye (11-0) in the next round.

The Pirates and Minutemen combined for just 16 points through three quarters before the offenses erupted in the final period. Three touchdowns were scored in a seven-minute span as both teams suddenly found success moving the ball.

Sophomore wide receiver Rowan Kennedy sparked Rocky River’s offense, hauling in two touchdown passes from quarterback Ryan Taylor. His 79-yard scoring catch to open the fourth quarter proved to be the difference maker.
