All but one of the top seeds held on to advance in the high school football playoffs

The Regional championships are set in the large class football 5A/4A in Northern Nevada, as are the 3A state semifinalists.

Spanish Springs rolled over Douglas, 48-14 to remain undefeated at 11-0 overall. Bishop Manogue got a solid defensive effort, and some dazzlng plays on offense, to down Reed, 48-26.

That sets up a 5A-North title game on Friday, Nov 14, Bishop Manogue at Spanish Springs. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

The Cougars beat the Miners, 46-14, on Oct. 24, but the Miners were without quarterback Brandon Mann in that game.

Mann celebrated his birthday in style on Friday by throwing for 319 yards (20-of-30) and four touchdowns and rushing for 55 yards.
