Bhubaneswar : Susmita Panda, wife of slain lawyer Pitabash Panda, has sought security from the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressing fear for her life and her son’s life.

In a press conference, Susmita appealed to the Chief Minister for justice, stating that her life is in danger. She said that threatening calls are being made to her son, asking him to withdraw the case. The threats, reportedly made over two phone calls from the same number, included abusive language and remarks allegedly supporting Bikram Panda, the main accused and former BJD MLA.

“I am afraid to stay at home. My son is also frightened. I have faith in the police investigation. I request that the arrested person not be released from jail,” said the slain lawyer’s wife.
