Syanna Puryear-Tucker died from stab wounds after a fight outside a Bremerton home in January 2021.
Lola Luna, then 16, was arrested and interviewed, and two years later convicted of second-degree murder.
The Washington Supreme Court, in a 9-0 opinion released Oct. 30, said Luna's rights were violated and threw out some social media evidence used in the trial.
The murder conviction for Lola Luna, who was found guilty in 2023 of killing fellow 16-year-old Syanna Puryear-Tucker in a fight outside a Bremerton home in 2021, was vacated by the Washington State Supreme Court on Oct. 30.
