About 5,800 women farmers from 69 villages have benefited from ‘Sustainable Income Enhancement and Nutrition Security Program for women farmers in villages of Tonk, Rajasthan’, supported by Louis Dreyfus Foundation (LDF) in association with the Centre for microFinance (CmF).
The project, launched in 2020 by LDC, has helped farmers triple their income in five years. Dutch multinational trading firm Louis Dreyfus Company runs the foundation.
A high-level delegation led by LDF Honorary President Margarita Louis-Dreyfus visited project villages in Tonk district on November 3 and 4. The two-day visit aimed to review progress on the foundation-supported programme to improve agricultural productivity, income, and nutrition security among women farmers.
