A fatal road accident at Bharbhadia crossing in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh has sparked outrage and protests after a police officer, allegedly drunk and driving recklessly, killed one person and injured four others on Friday night.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Manoj Yadav, posted at Jawad police station, was driving his personal car when he lost control and collided with two motorcycles.
The crash claimed the life of Dashrath Singh on the spot and left four others injured, including Singh’s two children. One of the injured children’s legs had to be amputated, and his condition remains critical.
Visuals from the accident site show a heart-wrenching scene, the victim lying lifeless on the road with one leg severed, a girl crying nearby, and another boy bleeding and unconscious.
