CHANDIGARH, 08.11.25-Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, Chief Advisor of the Federation of Sector Welfare Association Chandigarh (FOSWAC), has welcomed the recent order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court addressing the alarming rise in dog bite incidents across the country. The Court has directed that all educational institutions, hospitals, public sports complexes, bus stands, depots, and railway stations must be properly fenced to prevent the entry of stray dogs. Local self-government institutions have been made responsible for removing stray dogs from such areas and relocating them to designated shelters after due sterilisation and vaccination.
