The mother of a three year old boy who tragically passed away after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer has expressed her gratitude to comedian Alan Carr for raising awareness of the disease. Carr, who recently won £87,500 on the BBC show Celebrity Traitors, donated his winnings to children's cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK.

Katy Yeandle, whose son Joseph sadly died on 27 December 2021 after an eight-month battle with stage four neuroblastoma, said that Carr's actions have sparked conversations about the disease. Speaking on BBC Breakfast , Ms Yeandle said: "It was amazing because nobody knows about neuroblastoma cancer. When Joseph was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, we didn't know what it was.
