The Canadiens’ Jayden Struble dropped the gloves and put a pretty good beating on Ottawa’s Nick Cousins last Saturday night in a 4-3 overtime win at the Bell Centre.
It was payback for a vicious two-handed slash Cousins hit Canadiens rookie sensation Ivan Demidov with during a pre-season game.
On this Hockey Inside/Out Show bonus episode, The Gazette’s Stu Cowan is joined by former Canadiens teammates and 1986 Stanley Cup champions Chris Nilan — who dropped the gloves a few times during his NHL career and earned the nickname Knuckles — and Rick Green.
They give their thoughts on Struble’s fights and Nilan and Green recall some fights they had during their playing days.
We’ll be back with a new Hockey Inside/Out Show next Wednesday and if you haven’t done so already, please subscribe to
