Hundreds of free scavres will be scattered around Stark County and beyond in Northeast Ohio to help those in need stay warm during Ohio's coldest months.
The Scarf Project , founded by Toni Kaltenbaugh, will mark its 10th year with a distribution Nov. 14 in multiple Ohio counties.
The civic-minded event includes free scarves and winter hats left for anyone who needs them at more than 14 distribution locations.
Most locations are in Stark and Tuscarawas counties, but there also is a site in Cuyahoga County near Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Aimee Rufener and Jeremy Sell are the new co-coordinators for the program, taking the reigns from Kaltenbaugh, who plans to retire. They both work for Cooper Standard Industrial and Speciality Group in New Philadelphia.
